We decided to spend my birthday, which falls on Labor Day weekend, in New York City this year. We haven't been (as a family) since Duke was born and we were ready for some city exploration. We took an early train into Manhattan and stayed at a cool little hotel in Tribeca (The Smythe).
We had a fun 3 days and walked our feet off (did you know that most of the subways don't have elevators??!! Some logistical challenges with a baby + big stroller + tons of stairs in the city = lots of extra walking!). We explored some areas we've never seen and made lots of stops at the parks scattered throughout the city (which ALL have play fountains for the kiddos in the summer). Here are some photos from our days in NYC:

Hotel room exploration is SO fun
Taxi! (the new word of the weekend)
Yummy YUMMY breakfast at Bubby's
The first of many parks
And on to Central Park
We finished our day with some pizza and a looooong walk back to the hotel through Times Square. This little guy was tuckered.
Love,
Chels
