Lola Miren Stock - Ready to Ship

As you may have seen on my Lola Miren website (and noticed the sidebar disappear from the blog) i've decided to take some time off from working on Lola Miren on a daily basis.  Luckily i've had an amazing helper over the summer who has been able to sew up a large stock of blankets to keep on hand for orders.  Below is a list of blankets that are in stock and ready to ship.  Note that none of the blankets have initials unless otherwise noted (there is only one lemon blanket with an "A"...all others are initial free).  I'd be happy to make up any matching items including bib, burp cloth, onesie, tee and karate pants (all American Apparel).  You can see some examples of sold items and what they look like bundled up here.  Please email me at lolamiren@gmail.com to place an order or convo me on Etsy.  Thanks a million!!!

Duke's Pop Pop popped in for a quick visit over the weekend.  Like it's no big deal to stop by for the weekend when you live in Pakistan and have a meeting in Toronto.  Clearly Duke was excited to see his grandpa....and he's finally big enough for a little bit of roughhousing which suits my dad just fine.  Now he's off for a few days with my Mom and Jake in Colorado before trecking all the way back to Pakistan until September.

Poor Little Peanut

Poor little Duke has been a sick, sick puppy the last week with a mean virus.  Thankfully he is feeling much better and I have my smiling, giggling little guy back today.
I can officially say that having a sick baby is quite possibly the worst thing in the world.  Especially when your husband is gone for the entire thing (work trip, not his fault, but still...)
Here's to a fun weekend with our little peanut.
He deserves it.

Happy 4th of July!

Oh you hot and muggy Maryland July.  You never change, do you?

This morning we met up with some friends for our neighborhood 4th of July parade.  I use the word parade loosely here.  It was really just a bunch of kids on decorated bikes and parents pushing strollers down the street.  We hopped in at the end and....guess what!!!  We were in the parade too!!!

There was a fire truck so I guess that makes it more legit.

Last year we were really brave (or crazy) and took the train to DC to watch the fireworks on the National Mall.  It was beautiful and amazing to see the fireworks over the National Monument.  The mass exodus afterwards was insane and I don't think we'll do that again for a while.

We're off to find a hot dog now.
