Outdoor painting is a favorite activity right now.
We spent a long weekend in Washington DC over 4th of July and braved the National Mall for fireworks. We've done it once before so knew what to expect in terms of crowds. We were actually able to find a non-crowded spot on the grass away from the mobs of people. The fireworks were HUGE and SO LOUD. I had forgotten just how close they are. I was worried Duke would be scared of the noise but he was mesmerized and loved every second. We may make this trip a yearly tradition.
