A Wedding

Our friends Scott & Lisa were married in Santa Barbara in the absolutely beautiful El Presidio.  I've passed by it a million times and never been inside.  I had no idea how amazing it is!

Duke was mesmerized by the guitar player sitting behind us.

Chasing our baby in our wedding clothes.  I had planned on getting a family photo....but that (sadly) never happened.

(Can I just mention that attending a wedding with a toddler is not super relaxing?)

The next morning Lisa & Scott hosted brunch at their brand new house that they had JUST moved into.  Brave??!!  (Who dares to host a brunch at their own house the morning after their wedding??  Those two are nuts!)  We're glad they did though - their house is gorgeous and somebody could not stay out of the pool once he saw all of the other kids playing.  How do I say no to this face??

Congratulations Lisa & Scott!!!  We had a great time and your wedding was perfection!

Alameda Park ~ Santa Barbara

Alameda Park is the most amazing wooden playground surrounded by the most beautiful old HUGE trees.  I remember seeing this playground time and time again when we lived there and always thought how fun it would be to take my own child there someday.  Well, that day arrived!

Santa Barbara

We headed back to California at the end of April for a wedding in Santa Barbara and a vacation in Newport Beach with my parents.  We miss living in Santa Barbara in the worst way and enjoyed every second of being back in the Golden State.  Here is our first sunny day in SB.

Cabin John Station

(Still working through April on my camera)

Ritch surprised us with a day trip to Cabin John Station....a little kid oasis complete with a train in the woods, tons of playgrounds, an ice cream truck and lots of space to run around.  Duke is still a little small for most of the things here but we'll definitely be back when he's a little older.  He still had fun, but a year from now this place will be perfect.  A few pics from our day:
